Goodwill Committee -  Goodwill Committee members see that Milestone birthdays (90, 95, and 100+) are recognized with flowers, a certificate and if permission granted, a write up for our local web page. Last year there were 20 members in this group. There were 94 valentines sent out to those in care and retirement homes, or living independently

Cards are sent to members eighty years of age and older on their birthdays. This year. that will include just over 400 of our 1160+ members.

Member deaths are acknowledged and bereavements and cards are sent
to those who are ill, or who deserve recognition for their achievements. Poinsettias are delivered to members in care and nursing homes, or able to live on their own. This past December, 95 poinsettias were delivered.

Volunteer Contributions: The success of this project was made possible by the dedication of 17 volunteers who delivered poinsettias throughout the Sarnia-Lambton area. Their efforts not only helped reduce delivery costs significantly but also provided cherished social interaction for many members, especially those who are shut in.
The 2025 Poinsettia Project was a heartwarming success, demonstrating the power of small gestures and personal visits to lift spirits and strengthen community bonds. Thank you to all who helped make this initiative meaningful and memorable
As a member of District 38, please make a note to yourself: - - - - Let your Goodwill Committee know about illness or bereavements affecting colleagues who are members; Update the Committee about changes in your address, phone number, and email address; Help with the poinsettia deliveries.
